Grand Millennium Sukhumvit Bangkok

Ultra modern business and holiday traveller hotel

Geared towards both the business traveller and the holiday maker with its parking house rooftop putting green, outdoor pool area, multiple dining venues and night time entertainment, Grand Millennium Sukhumvit opened in late 2007.

Singapore-based Millennium & Copthorne Hotels has embarked on spreading its wings into the Thai hospitality market with this downtown hotel located in one of Bangkok’s prime central areas, on Asoke Road (Sukhumvit Soi 21).

Situated with both subway and skytrain stations only steps away, all that the Asian metropolis has to offer is close at hand. Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre is only one stop away with the subway and all of Bangkok’s most prestigious shopping centres are maximum a ten minutes trip away with the aerial train way. (In fact, in this town this is often a much faster mode of transportation than flagging down a taxi on the street.)

The five-star establishment features a sail-like glass facade with an atrium and concept floors. The majestic wide open space in the middle of the hotel which can be seen, either looking up or down depending on what floor, outside the hotel room walkways is the hotel’s focal point which makes it easy to recognise also from at distance.

Of course coming with an Executive Club Lounge and 89 club rooms (as well as suites) the five-star establishment is suitable also for working vacationers.

With the ultra new millennium chic style and plush interiors Grand Millennium is destined to make its mark on the Bangkok’s scene as one of the top preferred hotels, especially as it is accommodating the needs of a variety of visitors, including vacationers. The décor comes in hushed tones of brown, gold, silver and white complemented by Thai contemporary art features.

Should guests get tired of a shopping frenzy, the hotel offers enough adequate activities to keep anyone busy if choosing to spend the days around the grounds. Here they can indulge in a host of relaxing options. The latest LifeFitness exercise equipment is spaciously arrayed before liberating cityscape views and the hotel’s cool pool, meanwhile, offers sweeping infinity views across Bangkok. And on the roof-top putting course golfers can keep practice their swing before heading out to any of the city’s courses.

Furthermore a world-class spa offers deeply relaxing, results-oriented wraps, scrubs, massages and the full range of beauty treatments. Grand Millennium Sukhumvit also boasts a relaxing library. Towering book cases with preppy access ladders provide plenty of reading materials amid comfy chairs and potted palm trees.

Any business traveller can conduct the matters of the day in elegant surroundings, confirm massage as well as other appointments and hold business meetings or host clients for opulent dining.

The hotel is of course also dedicated to the business and MICE sector with state-of-the-art meetings and conventions facilities, and the Club Lounge comes with the obligatory business centre including meeting room, secretarial services and full office equipment.

As chic as can be the rooms offer sumptuous comfort, including LCD flat screen TVs and a Media Hub enabling guests to use the widescreen TVs instead of the computer screen and the in-room hifi to play itunes and MP3s.

A ‘differentiated feature’ in the Deluxe rooms is the “sexy” bathroom with optional see-through from tub to bedroom inviting couples for romantic bubble bath weekends. To get done with any communication issues the rooms come with streamlined glass-top work desk.

The Grand Millennium Sukhumvit comprises four room types: Deluxe; Executive Club Room; Executive Suite and Presidential Suite.

As part of the meetings facilities the jewel in the crown is the high-ceiling, no pillars Grand Ballroom on the 4th floor which can accommodate around 400 for cocktails or may be divided into two and offers separate foyer for guest welcoming.
